stomachs (all from a game of Jenga!!!).We have had younger people look at us strangely like we were too old to be doing this and met much older people who look at us like we are still so young. I guess what I’m trying to get at is that it doesn’t really matter what age you are, as long as you have a passion for life, seeing the world or meeting people there’s no reason you can’t get out there and do this. Everyone we have met does it differently, you don’t have to spend evenings in bars, you don’t have to do ALL the sites and you don’t have to go all the places you’re expected to, you’re just supposed to make it your own and enjoy yourself, that’s something I’m seeing more and more along the way.
This said we never really fully appreciate out limits until they catch up with us, call it food poisoning, call it exhaustion, call it drinking brown river water, whatever it was we have taken it easy for the last few days. As far as we can see, what’s the rush, the beautiful sites and amazing times aren’t going anywhere. So when we have recouped, oiled our aging bones with water, slept through the exhaustion, then we’ll be back out doing it all again. Hopefully we’ll see you out there.
Disclaimer: Having read that back it sounds a bit preachy and as if I know enough to be telling people how to do this and I’m definitely not doing that, nor do I have the relevant experience or credentials. I merely wanted to transpose some of the information and experiences of the people we have met……… and also it helps justify having done very little over the past 3 days.
