Pietrapertosa, Italy – Gallery

Located in national park this is a beautiful village to visit high in the hills/mountains of southern Italy. One or two cafes and bars complement the views and general ambience of this place. You can walk up to the castle or take the "Flying Angel" 1.5 km zip wire to the village on the opposite side of the gorge....spectacular and we visited out of season so in season this would be superb.

Pheastos, Crete, Greece – Gallery

One of the key architectural sites in Crete and indeed in the greater Greece. There is an entrance fee but it is worth a visit...beware for the super smooth worn down paving on the way up to the ancient ruins...lethal!!
